We are an Official Supplier of Mechanical Parts for the Transnet Locomotive Project


We are pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Bombardier Transport for the supply of mechanical parts for the Transnet locomotive project. Bombardier Transport is a global leader in rail technology and Bombardier South Africa has been awarded the contract to build 240 electric TRAXX Africa locomotives.

The order is part of the largest locomotive supply project in South Africa’s history, with overall orders for 599 electric and 465 diesel locomotives from four different suppliers. Transnet Freight Rail will use the 240 TRAXX Africa dual-voltage electric locomotives for its general freight business.

New Modern Factory


Laser Junction is proud to announce the successful move of the entire business to a modern, purpose built 10,000m² factory situated at Dube Tradeport, the new, premier light industrial area of Kwa-Zulu Natal. This move commenced in October 2015 and the factory was fully operational by the start of 2016.
Dube Tradeport has been zoned by the government as an Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) and is expected to be upgraded to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), with additional incentives and benefits for those companies operating in the manufacturing sectors.

NEW Koike High Definition Plasma Machine


Dear Valued Customer

We are pleased to announce that Laser Junction has further expanded its service offering with the recent addition of a Koike High Definition Plasma machine.

This highly efficient and versatile machine is able to plasma cut plate up to 32mm and the cutting quality is exceptional and exceeds that of laser cutting on the thicker gauge materials (+16mm). The effective cutting area is 3m x 10m.

Oxy fuel cutting up to 150mm will be available once the heavy duty gantry has been installed.
Our plasma cutting rates are extremely competitive with excellent turnaround times.
